A HOUSING SCHEME, Brandenburg 1995
(in collaboration with Multhaup & Niebuhr architects; part of the design team)

The dwellings are distributed into five houses which together form a block with gardens and play areas in the middle. There are three blocks all together. The building typology is within the regional context by having a stone plinth with a timber structure above and a pitched roof. The plinth unites the whole blocks through its horizontality and contains the ground floor with the living kitchen area. Above, within the timber structure are the bedrooms and bathroom, with storage up under the roof.
